We don't talk enough about the invisible skill so many women have mastered: spinning plates.

Not the kind you see in a circus, but the everyday balancing act of careers, caregiving, relationships, health, ambitions, expectations… and everything in between.

The truth? It's not just about “doing it all.”

It's about constantly prioritising, adapting, recalibrating, and often doing it quietly, without recognition.

Some plates are chosen.
Others are handed to us.
And sometimes, we carry both without question.

But here's the shift I'm seeing (and loving):

More women are redefining what success looks like.

  • Saying no without guilt
  • Letting a plate drop when it no longer serves them
  • Asking for support instead of doing it alone
  • Building lives, not just lists of obligations

Because strength isn't how many plates you can spin.
It's knowing which ones actually matter.

To every woman navigating her own version of this balancing act, know you're not alone, and you're already doing more than enough.

Let's keep changing the narrative. ?

btw - where am I seeing all this brilliant stuff - on our Reflection and Resilience course

and what's the image: me putting all the plates down and having fun on a swing
